As of November 18, 2023, The Yeriwah clinic construction project in Brikama, Gambia is advancing impressively, showcasing the tangible impact of our donors’ invaluable support. The interior of the clinic has witnessed substantial progress, with meticulous plastering providing a fresh and inviting atmosphere for patients, interior painting also commence soon. The installation of durable floor tiling will soon start, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Tilling is almost completed for the internet room to allow for internet cable installation starting next week.

Electrical pipes, internet pipes, and water pipes are installed, electrical wire installation will start soon. Water testing through the inlet and outlet pipes began on 11/18/2023 and this will be completed by the mid-week. Door fixing is complete, ensuring security and privacy within the clinic. The installation of windows is also completed, allowing for ample natural light and ventilation, essential for a conducive healthcare environment.

On the exterior, significant developments include the successful excavation of a soak-away drainage system, soon in the coming week, formwork and concrete of the soak will start contributing to the sustainable and efficient management of wastewater. Exterior painting is underway at present and this process will continue this week as the building colors come together in all parts of the exterior.

These accomplishments are a testament to the collaborative efforts between Yeriwah and the local community. The project’s success lies not only in the physical construction but also in the positive impact on the region  well-being.
